LINE AND SHAPE
For these photos i chose a multitude of places to take pictures The Picture that place indoors I took inside of Somerset Berkley Regional High school, I took the snow covered forrest pictures In the Case Junior High woods, and the rest being at Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida Or Providence RI. Many of my photos are close up, or macro, landscape pictures. This allows for a unique and beautiful point of view of the every day places we see. Many of these shots were taken from far away using a larger zoom lens to zoom in close but also to be able to get a wide area of vision to see where the best picture would be to be taken. However the pictures from my school were taken up close with a macro lens. My point of view for most of these picture was level with subject matter but to the side, in order to create a dynamic perspective. some photos such as the wilted flower and Board walk sign were taken above or below respectively. All of these photographs are horizontal in order to get a wider shot of the environment around the subject. I considered the rule of thirds in all my photos in order to make the photos of simple everyday objects dynamic and interesting. the picture of the train tracks is probably the most dynamic and fluid picture because the rails of the train track bring your eye from the foreground of the picture and lead it into the background of the picture..
Pattern, Texture, and Rhythm
MY favorite photo during this project is the dewey flower photo. I took it very close up with a macro lens in order to get the detail in the refraction of each water droplet on the flower, creating a glossy texture. I took this photo from a slight above angle with a horizontal orientation in order to capture the whole flower and some background space. the picture follows the rule of thirds with half of the flower in one third the other half in the middle third and negative space filling in the last third of the frame. I love this photo due to its composition and stark contrast between background and foreground. I feel although the background may be under exposed the foreground and focul point of the picture is properly exposed making the picture more dynamic and interesting.
